Kiyosato Carole | Homemade Cake & Tearoom

Welcome to Kiyosato Moegi-no Mura in the Yatsugatake Highlands! Carole's cakes are handmade with simple natural ingredients including local produce and seasonal fruits. We do not use baking powder or other artificial additives in them. Along with assorted choices of coffee, tea, and cold drinks, the varied lunch menu features several types of quiche, pasta, and rice dishes such original curry and rizotto.

Hours: 10:00-18:00 (Nov-Mar 10:30-17:00)
Open till 7PM on the Field Ballet's day
Closed: Tue & Wed (Dec 29-Jan 3 open)

About Carole

Homemade cake and tearoom Carole's predecessor first opened in Shimokitazawa, Tokyo, about 40 years ago, and then as Carole, after a decade in Nirasaki, Yamanashi, became firmly established at the turn of this century in Moegi-no Mura, Kiyosato surrounded by the vivid nature thriving on the Yatsugatake foothills.

Every year in April and December, we have spent a week at the basement food zone of Keikyu department store in Yokohama, doing sales of our most popular items and have developed a following of regular and new visitors who may not have the chance to visit Kiyosato.
